In the heart of Kathmandu, beneath flickering candlelight and the echoes of a city healing from disaster, a sound was born. That sound: raw, soulful, and deeply rooted in Nepalese folk rock, now arrives in the form of a debut vinyl album from The Himalayan Connection THC Inc., titled “THC Inc.”, shipping on Dec 2025.
The album was recorded live in Autumn 2015, just months after the devastating earthquake that shook Nepal. It was mixed and mastered by Naoyuki Uchida, a globally respected sound engineer in the Reggae DUB scene.
Every detail of this release honors Nepalese tradition:
- Vinyl pressed in Tokyo by LP cutting maestro Shigeru Buzawa
- LP cover handmade in Nepal using traditional Lokta paper, adding tactile authenticity to the listening experience.
Each track is a journey, some introspective, some rebellious, all unmistakably Himalayan!
