Vinyl will likely never replace digital or other forms of music. Globally, since the invention of tapes and CDs, the cassette tape has helped music be affordable to the masses and with CD people could listen to in the quality like never before.
“Not everyone will like or want records. It also may not be affordable for many people. But some, it will a treasure worth investing on.”
Even during that time, there were a small group of purists who never abandoned their vinyl records. With the invention of full-on digital media like MP3, the quality of music have significantly deteriorated. That has taken quite a lot of people back to records. The vinyl market has grown significantly in the last 10 years. I don’t believe all of that growth is sustainable, but there will be a sizable number of people (like us) who will never give up the records.
So, the answerer is, not everyone will like or want records. It also may not be affordable for many people. But some, it will a treasure worth investing on.
